Proud Theater Tradition at John Glenn High School: "Letters To Sala"

Another great performance was held for theater supporters and area residents at the John Glenn High School Auditorium recently in November. The 3 shows "Letters To Sala" were performed by the John Glenn Theater Company under the direction of Rich Snyder.

The School System has always had a rich theater tradition in Walkerton, especially under the tenure of Bob Mulligan who was a personal friend of Edward Albee, and Neil Simon! Today, the students at the school continue to be exposed to great material like the play written by Arlene Hutton! The "Letters To Sala" show is about Ann Kirschner's discovery of her mother's hidden letters from seven Nazi labor camps during WWII. This play is loosely based on the true story depicted in the book "Sala's Gift", written by Ann Kirschner herself.
