A Few Great Winter Activities To Cure Indoor Blues

Updated: Jan 9, 2021

There is nothing better than quality time spent with family and friends, and you will be able to get plenty of that in the Walkerton Area! Indulge your taste buds with Chinese Cuisine or enjoy a hot dog and a refreshment at a JGHS Basketball game, or Wrestling event when the Falcons play in town! Attend a Town Board Meeting? Get involved with community politics.

Enjoy a walk, cross-country ski, or ice-fish around one of the most beautiful parks in Northern Indiana? Potato Creek State Park, and any of the Walkerton Parks are waiting to be discovered! The sounds of clinking glasses and live music will fill the night air as you leave your stresses and worries back at home and experience any of the area local taverns and grills!

Now is your chance to sign up for the winter session of "Get Up And Dance!" The Walkerton Parks Department is proud to bring you the program designed to get your little ones (and bigger ones) up on their feet! Time to generate fun, work creative movement, and get rid of their everyday wiggles, too! This program is appropriate for girls as well as boys with the benefits of cardio, coordination and muscle memory.
