General Tso Chicken From "China House" Wins Poll
Beginning last Friday we began a poll for our Walkerton Page FB Group to find the favorite dish coming out of town for our culinary delights. Between the many food establishments from the area we were able to pull random items from the menu's of our favorite hometown food spots.
Listings included BBQ Ribs from Koontz Lake Market, the Halfpound Burger from Koontz Lake Brewery, Grilled Reuben Sandwich at Corner Cup Cafe, and Eggs Benedict from Oakwood Cafe. Other favorites polled were Pizza from Casey's, Country Roads, and Club 23.
But, it was the General Tso Chicken dish from China House Restaurant at 602 Roosevelt who best serves the Walkerton communities and our palates. They won as that dish is the poll favorite! Rounding out 2nd place in the poll was Casey's Pizza. And Koontz Lake Market's BBQ Ribs along with their Fish Fry Polish Dinner for 3rd and 4th!
You can be sure that China House has your favorites that you expect from a Chinese establishment. You will find eggrolls, steamed dumplings, crab rangoo, eggdrop soup, chicken fried rice, beef chow mein, and moo goo gai pan!
Other popular dishes here include orange chicken, chicken szechuan, cashew chicken, and moo shoo chicken. It is a favorite ethnic destination in the community. A "taste" of the ancient Chinese culture! They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30AM to 9:30 PM. The yelp reviews are very good for this Walkerton establishment.
