On The Walkerton Real Estate Scene With Jason Kaser

It's not typical for homes to stand on the market for only 30 to 60 days? Even 90 days on the market is considered active. The Michiana real estate market has been holding strong as "red hot," and as a "seller's market!" Our very own, Jason Kaser, raised in North Liberty and Walkerton remains on the scene. He serves our readers seeking residential, commercial, and agricultural real estate needs! He served as Director of the South Bend / Mishawaka Association Of Realtors MLS in 2015.

Local Broker, auctioneer, sports enthusiast, Jason Kaser, taking a moment in North Liberty at the office with "Snickers." believes the local scene remains humming with demand for housing. According to local experts in St. Joseph County the market is driven by low supply, mild weather, a rapidly improving economy, and fears of rising interest rates.

A study by the South Bend / Mishawaka Area Association Of Realtors showed that total inventory dipped 24 percent, year-over-year, from more than 1,000 units in 2016 to fewer than 800 the next year. “It’s predominantly a sellers’ market,” Myron Larimer said. “We’re seeing multiple offers, competitive bids across most price points, but especially in the $100,000 to $250,000 range, that midrange.” Some homes, he said, are selling in mere hours.

Jason Kaser is the broker and owner of Kaser Real Estate, located at 408 N. Main St. in North Liberty. He said, "Most of the Buyers are people in their 20's, 30's and 40's. Some of whom want the schools and the rural country life."

"They want to be out of the big cities."

He added, "We have sold hundreds of homes in the Walkerton area over the years. Mostly residential but also commercial, farm land and vacant lots."

"The Walkerton area is unique as it is located in part of four counties. The John Glenn High School is a local "Four Star School" that brings people to the community." "I see more people wanting to move to the area which, will, in the long run help out the local restaurants and small businesses."

The friendly people at the Kaser Real Estate Offices are located at 408 N. Main St. in North Liberty.

He is a member of the Indiana Auctioneers Association and National Auctioneer Association. As a kid he graduated from the Nashville Auction School in Tennessee.

Jason attended IUSB where he studied real estate. He has been honored as 2012 Realtor of the Year for the South Bend/Mishawaka Association of Realtors, and was 2011 President of the South Bend/Mishawaka Association of Realtors. "We also have an auction company Kaser Auction that sells real estate and personal property in the area too."

"We love the small town life and being between North Liberty, and Walkerton. Potato Creek State Park has been great for the community as well as Koontz Lake."
