14 Things To Do For A Joyous Walkerton Holiday Season

The Holidays have arrived since Thanksgiving.  There is plenty of shopping and decorating for yuletide events and style!  'Tis the season to be jolly!  So, why not get the kids in the spirit with you and enjoy the Walkerton community always full of spirit!  We have so many places to go and events to be a part of.  Don't ever think that Walkerton itself has "nothing to do" as many have claimed?  We are working on creating an entertained Walkerton community that includes everyone!  Especially, kids!

Don't forget to begin the season by rolling out the dough and making homebaked cookies right at home in your Walkerton kitchens!

 

Friday, December 7th - Donate Blood - From 2:00 to 6:00 pm For the Blood Drive that will take place at Millers Merry Manor -  Sign up online at: www.GIVEBLOODNOW.com and, use sponsor code: Walkerton.   All December donors will receive a voucher for a free turkey! Ashley, Billy, and Sarah Sampson will be performing Holiday music in Walkerton for a fundraiser at the Bible Baptist Church.

 

 

 

Friday, December 7th - The Sampson's Christmas Concert - 6:30pm to 8pm - Come join Billy, Sarah, and Ashley Sampson as they  sing their music for their Christmas Project fundraiser to feed needy.  Performing at the Walkerton Bible Baptist          Church, Pastor Pete Wardlow,  600 Van Buren St.,Walkerton. 

         

Saturday, December 8th - Cookies With Santa - 10AM to 12 noon - Eat holiday cookies, do coloring, crafts, and get your picture taken with Santa at The Youth Building - 606 Washington St., Walkerton.

 

Saturday, December 8th - John Glenn Falcons Varsity Boys Basketball - 7:45pm to 10pm - Watch the Falcons play Tippecanoe Valley High School at the John Glenn High School Basketball Arena, 201 John Glenn Dr., Walkerton.

 

 

Tuesday, December 11th - John Glenn Falcons Varsity Girls Basketball - 7:30pm to 10pm - The Falcons are paired against Plymouth High School at the John Glenn High School Basketball Arena, 201 John Glenn Dr., Walkerton.

 

 Wednesday, December 12th - Stitchin' Club - 6pm to 7pm - NEW!  Every second Wednesday.  Do you stitch, or knit, or crochet, or embroider?  Pack up your project and come sit with some others who want to stitch as well!   At the Walkerton Lincoln Township Library, 406 Adams St., Walkerton.

Saturday, December 15th - Pancake Breakfast With Santa - 9am to 11am - Come to the Koontz Lake Association Clubhouse for pancakes, sausages, a beverage, and a gift!  10870 E. Cherokee Rd., Koontz Lake.

 

Saturday, December 15th - 11am to 2pm - Wren and Bee pottery signing - Chris Franey, owner of Walkerton-based Wren and Bee Pottery, will be visiting New Kitchen Store to sign her signature pottery. Bring your own Wren and Bee ceramics or purchase some at New Kitchen Store.  "2 Past Midnight" will be playing at "All Season's Sports Bar & Grill" Grand Opening, December 15th at 9pm.

Sunday, December 16th - Falcon Band Holiday Craft And Snack Sale - 1pm to 5pm - Help fund Falcon Pride Band and Color Guard programs. Hosted by the Falcon Pride Sewing Mom's!  They make it possible for the Falcons to do what they do.
